Football Excellence
Sport is a key part of everyday life at Marple Sixth Form College and we can offer all outstanding athletes access to our Academy of Football Excellence. The Academy provides access to high quality coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, national competitions and mentoring which will help students develop their skills and attitude. We also help students gain overseas scholarships, get access to top universities and support them as they progress in their chosen discipline from local through to international level.

Aimed at combining your academic study with professional football coaching, the programme is ideal for any student with an ambition to work in the Football and Sports industry. In addition to this you will compete in College teams weekly, with the chance to represent the College in Regional and National competitions.

The Football Excellence Course can be combined with all academic courses including BTEC Sport or A-Levels (depending on your timetable).

Entry Requirements
You do not have to be studying sport at Marple Sixth Form to participate in the Academy of Sports Excellence.
There are a number of coaching awards and community opportunities available via the Academy, and we work closely with college colleagues who deliver our formal sports studies curriculum.
